Youth Leadership Development

Jeremy became a youth work professional while working at Urban Underground as a Public Ally, where he designed leadership development programs for high school students.

Later, he became the Training Director for The Center For Youth Engagement, where he coordinated a nationally validated quality improvement initiative for 15 youth and family-serving organizations.

Jeremy Triblett identified ten facilitation skills fundamental to creating successful afterschool programs during that time. Leadership Development is the tenth and most difficult skill to master.

This training is designed for youth work professionals who work in afterschool programs and need fresh ideas and proven methods for developing their youth's leadership skills.

During this interactive training, youth workers will:

1. Play a game of Spoons: Leadership Addition as an icebreaker for conceptualizing leadership
2. Create goals based on four principles for building healthy youth-adult relationships.
3. Review the pros and cons of 6 leadership styles.
4. Practicing Jeremy Triblett's 4-Step Leadership Development framework.
