PLANNING AND STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
Participants will focus on the critical aspects of planning and strategic management. Participants will learn how to develop strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and vision, set performance goals, and ensure that everyone on the team is working toward the same objectives. They will also learn how to evaluate progress and adjust plans as necessary.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND DESIGN
Explore the importance of organizational structure and design. Learn how to design an effective structure that supports the organization’s objectives, allocate resources to meet these objectives, and create an environment that encourages innovation and creativity. This training will help people leaders better understand how to organize their teams and allocate resources more effectively.
PROBLEM-SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
This training covers the critical area of problem-solving and decision-making. Leaders will learn how to identify and analyze problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions, and make decisions based on sound judgment and reasoning. This module will help people leaders become more confident in their decision-making abilities and better equipped to handle difficult problems as they arise.
THE 7 C'S OF TEAM EFFECTIVENESS
Leadership teams will complete the 7 Drivers of Team Effectiveness Survey, analyze the results as a large group, answer the discussion questions and share discussion highlights. They'll gain greater insight into the strengths and challenges as a team and identify solutions they can implement immediately.
Youth-centered programs create an environment that values and respects young people's perspectives, ideas, and aspirations.
SAFE ENOUGH TO FAIL:
Creating physically and emotionally safe spaces for youth is crucial for their well-being and development. Through interactive exercises, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by youth in unsafe environments and be equipped with the tools to create safe and supportive spaces for young people in their communities.
NOTHING FOR US WITHOUT US
The Latin phrase "Nihil de nobis, sine nobis" translates to "Nothing For Us, Without Us!" This means that policies, programs, or practices that impact young people should involve their active participation in the decision-making process. This learning experience provides youth work professionals with the necessary tools to engage with teenagers, form effective youth-adult partnerships, and enhance their leadership skills.

John C Maxwell said, “You never really know something until you can teach it to someone else.” This training helps youth work professionals how to help young people build a new skill, no matter the subject or their level of ability. At the end of this training, participants will have demonstrated the ability to create effective objectives, practiced implementing skill-building methods and be able to distinguish between praise and encouragement.

Youth work professionals, parents and educators will review multiple strategies for developing youth’s leadership skills via interactive discussions, team-building activities, evidence-informed frameworks and personal application. SLIDE DECK BASICS
A beginner's guide to creating effective presentations. In this course, you will learn the basics of constructing a successful presentation, including selecting an appropriate presentation structure, choosing the right visuals and graphics, using animation, and delivering the content in a clear and engaging way.

Once you have designed an effective presentation, it is essential to be able to communicate it effectively in front of an audience. This training course teaches techniques on how to prepare for delivery, manage time efficiently during a talk, interact with audiences effectively through body language and vocal techniques, and answer questions clearly and confidently.

WHO’S WHO?
Many well-meaning people hold stereotypes, unfounded fears, biases, and beliefs about other people. These internal contradictions result from living in an inequitable society and manifest as covert bias. During this training, participants will learn how covert bias manifests amongst people who consider themselves allies to historically marginalized individuals.
THE MICROAGGRESSION GAME
For some people, life can seem like a never-ending game of dodging subtle insults from others in their lives. Constantly ask yourself, "Did they really say that?" and question if the way you’re being treated is based on your identity. This team-based experience builds an understanding of the powerful impact microaggressions have on marginalized people. It uses scenario-based learning to help participants understand how marginalized people might interpret, internalize and react to slights and insults.
HOW TO LEVERAGE YOUR POWER AND PRIVILEGE
Everyone has some level of power and privilege. Some of us were born with it, others inherited it, and many people have acquired it. We must ask ourselves, “How can I leverage my power and privilege to make life equitable for others?” During this training, participants will define equity, power and privilege and how they shape our personal and professional lives and explore strategies for leveraging power and privilege to benefit others.
WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING… DO SOMETHING!
In the face of interpersonal harm, everyone must learn how to stand up and speak the truth when someone else lacks the necessary power to stand on their own. This training walks participants through Jeremy’s Microaggression Intervention Process Model, where they’ll act out scenarios that require an assessment of harm, de-escalation, supporting targets, intervening microaggressions, repairing harm and advocating for change.
